Shaun introduced the first show of the season wearing a new tie and a Viking helmet. Joining Amanda, Charlie and Josh were Kevin Harrington, Julia Zemiro and Liesel Jones.
First up was Befuddled, where movie posters were scrambled into pieces. A new game Nobody’s Business, involved identifying made-up products that appeared in movies and TV shows. For ‘As Quick As ‘, the teams had to answer a round of questions before a champion axeman finished cutting through a log.
The “four stupidly labelled buttons” were Walter Brennan, George Clooney, Chris Pine and Trust Me.
- Gen Y chose Walter, playing The Secret Life of Walter’s Ditties – identifying songs from the lyrics being read by Walter. The other teams ended up getting more points than Gen Y.
- The BB picked George, which was Who Am I Doing?, where Kevin impersonated a few famous lines.
- Gen X refused Trust Me, so went with Chris – What on Earth Was That? A steamroller (driven by a Panda) ran over 6 items, which they had to identify from the wreckage.
The Your Gen topic was “Famous Peters”. In the End Game round, Shaun became an English Colonel, directing the teams to complete an army obstacle course and blow up an enemy embankment. Gen Y was first, and after many attempts to wire the plunger, took the trophy – for the 2007 Gold Coast 10k Marathon, donated by Jan McKay.
(Did anyone else notice Shaun’s chair… Tyrell Corp.? We’re in for a zany year!)
It didn’t take long for the show to descend into craziness-yay! I loved the new game, Gen X did so well to get them all right. And is it just me, or is Shaun a massive fan of Kevin Harrington?
He’s always really sporting with his previous co-workers, especially if they’ve been on Seachange.
Great episode! I was surprised at Josh’s athleticism (as was Shaun, by the sounds of it). Rewatching it on the ten website, plus something that’s been brought to attention over at the Shaun forums:
