Joining the teams tonight were actor and singer John Waters (BB), comedian Arj Barker (Gen X) and presenter/model Laura Dundovic (Gen Y). Early on, Shaun engaged in duelling Beatles accents with John.
The first game was Fad-tastic, where Shaun became overwhelmed with the point allocation. He promised “some fun” in the second game, Waki-Leaks, where teams had to complete the end of a fact. Neither team got any points (except for Gen Y being sycophantic), but Shaun did a great face “dance” to the typewriter music. After Shaun sang the theme for “You Say Various Things”, there was no time to play it, so they played “As Quick As” instead.
The four button options were Ant, Tree, Moses and Trust Me.
- Gen Y played “Name That Tune” after choosing “Ant”. Shaun pulled out his copy of “The Best of Jim Nabors”, but all the tunes were from TV shows.
- Gen X went for the “Tree” which was “What Just Happened?” Shaun and Kat played Edward and Bella from Twilight in a scene, from whence some of the questions came from.
- BB picked “Moses”, playing “Use By Date” – 6 people from 6 decades were holding 6 objects from the wrong era, which had to be re-sorted.
The Your Gen topic was Shapes. Charlie looked visibly annoyed about how easy some of the Gen Y questions were. So Shaun asked (Stuart) the Meerkat if Charlie was right or wrong about the questions being biased – the answer was wrong.
After a heart-felt Gold Logie plea (despite voting having closed) – the end game envelope was delivered by Cat Weasel in a Mr Whippee van. The question was “Which Generation is Best at Assembling a Skeleton?” Gen X won (by a femur) the 1993 Cutest Baby Trophy donated by Heidi Poole.
Charlie looked like he was positively seething after the Your Gen round! I felt sorry for Shaun having to try to cheer him up/calm him down!
Oh well, a great show in any case!
Charlie always seems upset when he’s losing. Its great though, he’s very funny when he’s angry! I think Shaun does it on purpose in the name of entertainment
