The Age’s Green Guide has today published a list of “50 things we love about TV” – and TAYG is on the list:
SOMETHING for everyone in this delightful blend of nostalgia, trivia and parlour games. There’s the different-yet-complementary comic stylings of three panellists – Amanda Keller, CharliePickering and Josh Thomas – the rotating stable of guests and the unique, almost avant-garde humour of host Shaun Micallef. Add to that a certain indefinable X factor and you have a show that just works.
(Note the comments at the bottom of the article, where opinion on Shaun is deeply divided. :S )
Ugh…Shaun haters…their comments are almost too unbearable to read. They are obviously the types of people who like cheap humour/portions of the human anatomy jokes.
I don’t think Shaun’s talent is wasted on ANYTHING he does. He continues to be one of the most unique and induvidual people on television these days.
I will watch anything Shaun does and I can’t wait until tayg comes back!
While I desperately wish for something entirely Shaun’s on either ABC or SBS in the same vein as P(r)ogram(me) or NEWStopia, I know I shouldn’t live in the past. Shaun has really re-written the style of mainstream tv panel shows, and I’m enjoying that.
But I do miss those Pogram interviews…
